Open to boys and girls, 3rd – 8th grade
Practices: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, Gans Creek Recreational Area
Games: Sunday afternoons, Cosmo Park, Field FB 5
Week Zero Meeting with coaches, parents, and players: Thursday, March 7th, 2024, 6:00 pm, The Crossing (gear check-out, season details, etc.)
First Practice: Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 - Gans
First Game: Sunday, April 7th – Cosmo
Last Game: Sunday, May 19th – Cosmo
Registration Fee: $170 regular, $150 early bird discount (expires February 15, 2024)
St. Louis Youth Lacrosse Association (SLYLA) – all 7th-8th grade boys, and experienced 6th grade boys
SLYLA is a league of lacrosse clubs in the St. Louis area (SLYLA.com). For spring 2024, Columbia Youth Lacrosse will enter a 10 v 10 boys, 14U boys team into this league. This is an opportunity for our players to play more games and get exposure to external competition. For 7th and 8th grade boys (and experienced 6th grade boys), there will be two registrations opportunities; A) Local Option - to play games locally in Columbia on Sundays at Cosmo Park as we always have, or B) SLYLA Option - to be on a team that will play two back-to-back games with SLYLA in St. Louis each Saturday afternoon at the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex (17925 N Outer Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63050, ½ mile from Chesterfield Outlet Mall, 1 hr 25 min drive from intersection of I70 and US 63 according to Google Maps). Practices for all groups will remain at Gans in Columbia on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The SLYLA game schedule will be 7 weeks on Saturday afternoons, starting on April 6th and finishing May 18th. We will communicate the exact game times in late March.
These are mutually exclusive options for 7th/8th grade boys, so you must choose one or the other. The registration fee to play in SLYA is $345 regular, or $325 early bird discount (expires February 15, 2024).
